Newberry Library | Chicago, IL | March 2023 - Present

Digitization Technician | Currently I work at the Newberry Library in Chicago. My duties include digitizing Newberry collection items (books, photographs, artwork, maps, manuscripts, etc.), using a Zeutschel OS-Q overhead large-format scanner and assisting the Digitization Specialist/Photographer, using other digital capture hardware. I perform quality control, image enhancement, and image correction post-digitization using Adobe Creative Cloud software and Zeutschel software. I record required technical and descriptive information, consulting with Digital Asset Manager and upload digitized content to the Newberry’s digital asset management system and perform quality control checks. I handle fragile library materials, consulting with the Director, Conservation, and Digitization Specialist/Photographer. My duties also include keeping department work logs and communication tools up to date. Communicating with the Director regarding projects, grants, orders, and department activities. I also calibrate all components of camera and computer workstation on a regular basis.

Klett USA | Chicago, IL | September 2018 - July 2019

Graphic Designer | During this time I worked as a graphic design intern for Klett USA. My work included creating and executing clean, creative, engaging solutions across a variety of specialties including print, web, and email marketing. Specifically, I created custom print materials for our clients. I also created graphics for web, including but not limited to: social media graphics, email marketing campaign imagery, as well as web content. I worked with my team to develop concepts and implement design strategies for quality solutions.

Northeastern Illinois University | Chicago, IL | September 2018 - February 2019

Junior Graphic Designer | I worked for the Office of Cultural Events and Community and Professional Education (CAPE) at NEIU. My duties included designing print and digital communication projects for the university and internal departments. I worked primarily on smaller design projects, page layouts, and promoting school events on the university’s social media platforms. I upheld the NEIU brand in all design projects, meeting both institutional and client department needs.

MCA Chicago | Chicago, IL | September 2014 - October 2015

Engagement Associate | At the MCA Chicago I worked closely with the museum curator and gallery staff. I assisted in mounting artwork in the galleries, setting up and operating electrical equipment, and maintain extensive knowledge on all current exhibits and special events.

Maya Essence | Chicago, IL | July 2012 - August 2014

Gallery Assistant & Sales Associate | In this part time job I worked with the gallery owner and assisted them by mounting and photographing artwork, set up and operate electrical equipment, and assisting in designing the gallery website, logo, and products.
